STARS Kids Programs
Free Year-Round Programs
Serving K through middle school in the greater Phoenixville area
In close partnership with the Phoenixville School District, STARS provides free, volunteer-led programs for children from families who may not have the means to access supplemental learning on their own. Clubs run one day a week during the fall and spring, summer camp runs for four weeks when school is out, and our Giving Library puts books in the hands of kids across the tri-county area year-round. No cost, no barriers, just a safe space where children build skills and discover what they are capable of.
WHat We Provide
STARS creates safe, engaging spaces where children explore STEM subjects, develop critical thinking, grow as readers, and form meaningful connections with caring adults.
After School STEM Club
Age-specific small groups where children explore science, technology, engineering, and math through fun, hands-on activities and challenges led by dedicated adult mentors.
After School Book Club
Age-specific reading groups where younger children build reading skills through fun, engaging stories and older children dive into chapter books, exploring topics that spark thoughtful conversation and build empathy.
Summer Camp
Our summer camp runs three days a week for kids who need a place to learn and have fun when school is out. Focused on literacy and STEM, the program builds curiosity and confidence through hands-on activities led by enthusiastic volunteers, many of whom are former campers themselves.
Giving Library
Located at 237 Bridge Street, Orion's Giving Library provides free books for children of all ages, including summer reading list titles, and distributes books at schools and community events throughout the area.
