Bridges Out of Poverty
COMMUNITY SUPPORT & EDUCATION
Training for the people and organizations who serve our community
The Bridges Out of Poverty program brings people from all sectors and economic classes together to develop a shared understanding of why poverty persists and what they can do about it. Based on the work of Dr. Ruby K. Payne, Philip DeVol, and Terie Dreussi Smith, the training has been used in communities across the country to improve job retention, strengthen support systems, and create more effective partnerships between organizations and the neighbors they serve. Orion leads these sessions in northern Chester County and welcomes employers, nonprofits, educators, faith communities, and civic leaders.
